Climate Change Mitigation Process
-
Risk / Opportunity management
- Physical risk response measures
- The report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) suggests that if global temperatures continue to rise due to climate change, natural disasters such as heatwaves on land and at sea, floods, earthquakes, increased frequency of tropical storms, and rising coastal sea levels will become more common. To prevent cost increases that may result from these physical risks, Costexis conducts proactive monitoring of risks and opportunities and manages identified risks in advance.
- Pioneering efforts for climate change mitigation
- In April 2022, the 56th session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) adopted a report stating that to limit global temperatures to a 1.5°C increase, global net greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced by 43% by 2030 and by 84% by 2050 compared to 2019 levels. Costexis is continuously setting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets to respond flexibly to climate change.
